Happy Ad Saturday!

File_001 (4)Here’s the list, and I think we’re in the between-seasons lull where all the stores are re-setting from summer to fall.  Yes, I know that the Halloween stuff is all out already, and some Christmas stuff, but the actual food is still peaches and watermelons slam up against pumpkin patches.  What I’m getting at is that deals are thinner on the ground than usual, but I’m here to walk you through it.

In addition, if you’re looking for a grocery diversion, you should really hit Central Market up.  Someone has seriously committed to the ‘Passport United Kingdom’ theme, and it’s possibly more extensive than the Hatch Chile Infestation.  There are banners, flags, and staff with brand new shirts.  If anyone splurges on the haggis ($12.99/lb) I officially request a report.

Here’s the list. Happy shopping, Cheepsters!

Happy Ad Saturday!

Better late than never is my motto of the season, and my middle kid can testify to that as I completely forgot about him this week and left him stranded downtown.  I got him eventually, and that’s the important part.

There’s a varying range of sales this week. Whole fryers and country style pork ribs might be worth a trip to Fiesta if it’s not your usual haunt.  Randalls has Bluebell at it’s cheapest, if they’re not on your never-again list. Organic apples are under a buck a pound at Sprouts, which is a stock-up item if you’re an organic shopper.

File_001 (3)Also: Central Market has a very pretty looking Bundt cake for $7.99. Their bakery makes some lovely tasty things, most beyond my own wallet, but this is a pretty that’s within reach if you’re wanting a treat this weekend.

Happy shopping, Cheepsters!  And thanks for the encouragement to keep on keeping on.

An unusual interruption here: Randalls is having a Buy One Get One Free sale this week that is fairly extensive.  I’m going to list products that I think are a good buy in this situation, based on my mental recollection of the prices.  Please look at the price on the shelf and make a call for yourself–it is Randalls, after all. I don’t have time to check them all out, so I’m making my best calls. I think the items listed below bring their prices down to match or beat their ordinary sale prices.
