This will be short and sweet because Cheepie’s got a date! I’m going downtown to meet up with a ton of other food bloggers at the BlogHerFood conference. I feel somewhat like an interloper, since I focus on groceries (after that Family Dinner experimental phase) and everyone else is cooking/eating out/being famous on twitter, but I blog about food so off I go!
Randalls has mangled their ad so much that I didn’t even try to decipher much past the meat loss-leaders. Betweeen the FAB5!, limits, minimums and $5 FRIDAY!!!, it’s pretty much as chaotic as a weekly grocery sale can be. Sure, something you want is likely on sale, but you might have to buy only between 2-4 of them, possibly only on Friday. This is why my blog has a tag for ‘effing Randalls’.
This week’s highlights: pork loin, asparagus, apples both organic and not.
NOTE: The chicken on sale at HEB this week is Hill Country Fare brand. I’m pretty sure these are the ‘enhanced with solution’ kind. If this matters to you, make sure to read the label!
